Health services managers, also called health care executives or health care administrators, plan and direct medical and health services across a variety of settings. The health services program in the College of Allied Health Sciences’ Department of Allied Health Professions prepares students for a variety of pathways.

The required capstone project synthesizes information and experience into a resume-enhancing addition to your portfolio.

Career Options

Graduates from the Health Services program can pursue a diverse offering of careers in a variety of different health care settings. They can work in hospitals or in physician practices, with home health agencies or pharmaceutical companies, with insurance companies or with public health agencies

The U.S. Department of Labor projects that job opportunities for medical and health services management will increase by 23% in Georgia and 29% nationwide, with a starting salary around $40,000 and median pay for health managers and health services administrators being $110,680.
